Featured Artist – Jesse Hill

We are pleased to welcome Jesse Hill as the featured artist for June. We are kicking it off Thursday with wine and light bites!

From Jesse:

I make paintings, sculptures, and prints. While investigating a multiplicity of materials, processes, form, and content. Inspired by the natural world, I always come back to landscapes as a place to practice expressive painting. 

I encounter nature in all its facets and share the beauty of the natural environment through my artwork.  I walk, explore, and paint the world I see. Creating fluid, graphic, abstract art that is grounded in direct experience.  Trails, maps, paintings of a view, and sketches of details together reflect and embody my experience, showcasing the story and identity of a place.  I record nature’s wild in contrast to the organized space of the human experience, acknowledging the points of intersection.
